Following the huge success of the challenge last summer, WeSeeHope’s HOPE10,000 is BACK!

We are aiming to cover 10,000km, which is the average distance from the UK to the five countries we work in – Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

As the pandemic continues to have an immediate and long-term socioeconomic impact on the vulnerable children and families we work with in Southern and Eastern Africa, this will help us best support them throughout this time and beyond.

It’s super simple to take part and help us reach our target – here’s how:

Complete your kilometres – whether it’s a 2km stroll with a friend, a 5km lunchtime jog, or a 60km weekend cycle.

Log your distance and make a donation on JustGiving – why not donate $1 for every km you cover?!

Do you know that you can take part in the HOPE10,000 as many times as you want? Complete extra kilometres or log a different activity, and then please let us know your distance and make a donation on JustGiving each time.

ALTERNATIVELY, YOU CAN PLEDGE TO DO A DISTANCE

Tackle a chunk in 24 hours, or divide and conquer a set distance with your friends, family or colleagues. One of the team will be in touch to cheer and support you along the way! To get started, you can either: 

•  Contact our Fundraising Manager, Millie, to let her know your pledge, and we’ll send you a donation link ready for when you’ve completed your challenge.

HERE’S SOME KM AND $ INSPIRATION!

Running 13km and donating $13 could help a community access clear, factual and updated information about COVID-19.

40

Walking 40km and donating $40 could teach a Kids’ Club how to make face masks from low cost and locally available materials.

75

Cycling 75km and donating $75 could train a health task force set up through our Kids’ Club Program to make ‘tippy-tap’ hand washing stations, face masks and soap.
